Wrestling is the only sport where effort doesn’t guarantee love back.

You can train all summer.
Cut the weight.
Wake up at 5am.
Drill when nobody is watching.

And still lose 3–2 in overtime.

No refs saving you.
No teammates subbing in.
No excuses.

Just you.
And the result.

That’s why most people quit.

Because wrestling doesn’t care about your feelings.

But that’s exactly why we love it.

It teaches you something the world won’t say out loud:

You are not owed anything.

Not praise.
Not comfort.
Not victory.

Only opportunity.

And the man who learns to handle that truth at 12 years old…
