We’re excited to introduce Mrs. Vickie Knuckles, our 1st–12th Grade Theatre Arts teacher for the 2026–2027 school year!

❤️ Why I Love Teaching:
I love seeing students come alive and discover the joy of performing on stage through the art of theatre. Watching their confidence grow as they embrace their creativity and share their talents is one of the great joys of teaching.

I love watching The Andy Griffith Show!

Chocolate—no nuts, please!

🙏 Prayer for My Students This Year:
My prayer is that my students will discover the full potential of the unique talents God has given them and use those gifts for His glory. I pray they grow in confidence, embrace their creativity with courage, and experience the joy that comes from expressing themselves through the art of theatre. More than developing performers, I want to help shape young people who recognize their God-given abilities, encourage others, and pursue excellence on and off the stage.

🍎 Meet Our Teachers!
We’re excited to introduce Mrs. Suzanne Mears, our 8th & 9th Grade Algebra I teacher for the 2026–2027 school year!

📖 Life Verse:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

❤️ Why I Love Teaching:
I love building relationships with my students and getting to know each one of them. One of my favorite moments is seeing a student’s face light up when they finally understand a concept they’ve been struggling with—that unforgettable “aha!” moment.

🎉 Fun Fact:
I can turn just about anything into a song… even though I can’t sing! 🤣

☕ Favorite Treat:
Anything chocolate, a classic Coca-Cola, and coffee.

🙏 Prayer for My Students This Year:
My prayer is that my students come to school each day with open minds and eager hearts, ready to learn something new. Most of all, I pray they always know they are deeply loved.

We’re excited to introduce Mrs. Rebecca James, our Journalism & Yearbook teacher for the 2026–2027 school year!

❤️ Why I Love Teaching:
Teaching allows me to be in the same school as my daughter, and I love getting to know all of the students. Building relationships while helping students grow in their gifts makes teaching especially meaningful to me.

I used to be a music therapist!

Peanut M&M’s, Snickers, and coffee.

My prayer is that my students will be confident in knowing the Lord has equipped them to do hard things.

📚Back-to-School Student Orientation📚

We are excited to welcome you Thursday, August 13th as we prepare for a great school year! Our BCS Orientation is designed to give every family the opportunity to meet teachers, become familiar with our communication tools, and get ready for the first day of school.

👉Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Please enter through the front entrance, where our staff will greet you and help you get started.
👉Beginning at 5:00pm, our flexible rotating schedule allows families to arrive when they can, choose the order of classroom visits and the GradeLink presentation, and, if they have children in multiple grade levels, use the optional third session to visit additional teachers or classrooms.

📅Mark your calendars BCS families, because we can't wait to see you at Orientation!

We’re excited to introduce Mrs. Karen Kavanaugh, one of our K4 teachers for the 2026–2027 school year!

❤️ Why I Love Teaching:
I love guiding students to know Him and make Him known through the learning of His creation. One of my greatest joys is hearing my students pray.

🙏 Prayer for My Students This Year:
My prayer is that my students would begin to know God’s love and show His love to others, and that they would begin building a firm foundation on Jesus.

❤️ Why I Love Teaching:
It is a privilege to help little ones build a strong foundation for learning while showing them God’s love through kindness, patience, and encouragement. Watching a child gain confidence, master a new skill, or light up with excitement as they learn something new is one of the greatest joys of being a teacher.

🎉 Fun Fact:
I love decorating and creating fun, welcoming spaces for children to learn! I enjoy making my classroom a place where every child feels excited, loved, and ready to explore.

Sprite and Reese’s

🙏 Prayer for My Students This Year:
My prayer is that God would fill our classroom with love, joy, kindness, patience, and laughter. I pray that each child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. May God give me wisdom, grace, and a servant’s heart as I teach and care for these precious children. I also pray for each family represented in our classroom, that everything we do would bring honor and glory to Him.

⚽ BCS Community Soccer Fall 2026 Registration is NOW OPEN! ⚽

Boys and girls ages 5–14 are invited to join BCS Community Soccer for a fun, encouraging season of learning, competition, and community! Our program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and Christian values in a positive, family-friendly environment.

📅 Registration Deadline: August 15
⚽ Practices Begin: August 25 (teams practice twice each week)
🥅 Season Begins: September 12

✅ Co-ed teams: U6, U8, U10 & U12/14
✅ Games played at the Lee County YMCA and Albany YMCA Sportsplex
✅ Every player receives a custom jersey, matching shorts, and socks to keep!
