Join AMCP for our advocacy alliance event! Guest speaker Leslie Moran will be speaking on anti-mail order and mid-year formulary changes to legislation. This event will be Thursday March 31st at 7pm over zoom. A $25 gift-card will be raffled off to one attendee! 😄

Join AMCP tomorrow on zoom at 11am for our second general meeting of the semester! We will be having a guest speaker Dr. Amy Yanicak and a $25 giftcard will be raffled off to one lucky attendee!

AMCP recently had the regional P&T competition! Congratulations to Katharine Abbot, Sarder Sadid, Kelly Cheung, and Sam Hwang. Also, special thanks to our advisors Dr. Meek, Mr. Hopsicker, and our judges Dr. Barbara Rogler, Dr. Donna Chiefari, and Dr. Paul Lakomski. Thank you for your hard work!

AMCP’s Second General Meeting will have a guest speaker Ms Thomas. Ms Thomas is a graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy, she started my career as a retail pharmacist working in New York, South Carolina and Massachusetts. After about a decade, she transitioned to a more clinical role with UMASS Medical School, providing clinical support for the Massachusetts Medicaid program. She then spent a small amount of time with a pharmacy benefit manager before relocating back to the Albany area to take a position at Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan. She has been involved with residency programs at both UMASS and CDPHP, and stepped in as director of the PGY-1 Managed Care Residency program at CDPHP in January 2021. At this meeting we will also be raffling off a $25 giftcard. Hope to see you all there!

After a nice summer off AMCP is excited to be hosting an on campus general meeting again (there will be a zoom link for our off campus individuals, check your emails for that link)! We hope to see everyone there on Thursday at 11am.

Tomorrow at 6pm AMCP & IPhO are hosting and Action Career Panel. The panel will include multiple speakers from managed care and industry pharmacy. There will be two opportunities to win $10 gift cards, so stop by if you have a chance. 😁
