Hosted by the NYSERDA Clean Transportation team, will feature two fleet operators in New York that are operating electric school buses – Lake Shore Central School District and New York City School Bus Umbrella Services (NYCSBUS). These fleet operators will share their perspective on the expectations and reality of operating electric school buses, including critical topics such as vehicle charging, cold weather operations, route assignments, utility coordination, and staff training. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from fleet operators with real-world experience operating electric school buses.

It's official! Today an announcement was made at our Fall Leadership Summit that, Dr. Sanchez has been chosen as the NYS Superintendent of the year. He will be honored at our Winter Institute in Albany on March 2-4, 2025, and he will represent New York as the state’s nominee for consideration as the National Superintendent of the Year, awarded by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) in New Orleans on March 6-8, 2025. Congratulations to Dr. Sanchez for this well deserved title and nomination!

Today May 6, 2024 the NYS Education Department honored the 2024 New York State Superintendent of the Year Dr. Joseph S. Famularo, Superintendent, Bellmore UFSD. Also pictured is President-Elect Lars Clemensen, Superintendent, Hampton Bays UFSD. Congratulations to Dr. Famularo and his accomplishments as an educator, musician, presenter, and cherished leader of Bellmore UFSD.

Jacob is headed back into surgery today with the hope of getting him off the ventilator later this week. Kelley, Kenny, and Olivia want everyone to know how much they appreciate the support, love, and prayers they have received. They are beyond grateful!
