We have the BEST volunteer crew around. Today they worked hard to get the space spruced up for the new garden club members next Thursday. Tables were painted, digging pits w**ded, harvesting done etc.
We love that we’ve been able to donate fresh produce to our local food bank this summer.

WE are having a work day tomorrow from 10-1 if anyone can pitch in. Retired folks?? It's fun and freat exercise and you get the bonus of helping your community.

Many thanks to Kathy Klompass for teaching our young gardeners about Indigo dying today! The children (and adults) really enjoyed learning the process and watching the magic happen.
We also dug out our first batch of red potatoes and everyone took some home to share with their families.

Art in the garden today! The kids and adults created beautiful garden art that can be hung outside. We loved how creative they all were. Welcome to our new volunteers Cynthia and Venessa today who kicked ** on getting the bishops w**d out of the garden!

Our first summer pop up was a blast! The children created tabletop gardens with names like “Land of the Gods”, “Bamboo clearing” and “zen land”. They were very creative!
We harvested herbs to dry, watered all our crops which are doing nicely and ate some watermelon.
Next week we have guest artists GG and Stella! Come join us.

Just a reminder- we start this THursday!

Hi everyone!!!

We will be hosting some pop up events this summer for local youth and their families. Kids of all ages to teens are welcome to join us. Please have your child bring a water bottle and wear older clothes that can get dirty.

Pop ups are from 4-6 pm.
Please email me at [email protected] for more info and to RSVP so I can prepare supplies.

July 9- Making Fairy Gardens
July 16- Create Garden Art with Local Artists
July 23- Indigo dying with Kathy Klompass.
Participants should try to bring A cotton white tshirt for dying.

We are grateful for the cooler days and nights! We enjoyed a lovely spring day in the garden. The children planted tomatoes, peppers, zinnias and dahlias. They painted and planted herb pots to take home and enjoy fresh herbs with family members. Miss Amy taught the kids about composting and let them explore living compost critters. Yikes!
A couple friends enjoyed digging out a four foot w**d in the garden. It took alot of strength and cooperation to do it.
Sometimes the learning in the garden is more subtle and each kid is on his own path.
Best part of today! Our alumni Kenneth came by to volunteer today. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Many many thanks to our friends who came out to help us with our annual clean up. We were able to accomplish so much with so many hands. Mark’s spirit was all around us today. With love.
