TOP MOMENT | 2025-2026

This year's high school ONE ACT cast was awarded the GISA State Championship title for the fourth consecutive year! Their performance of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" was captivating from start to finish, bringing a beloved story to life in a powerful way.

Directed by Mrs. Ashlynn Elson, the production also brought home indiducal honors. Matthew Kimsey and Alyssa Postlewaite received Outstanding Performance awards, and David Albano earned Honorable Mention.

TOP MOMENT | 2025-2026

We are grateful for 37 decisions for Christ this year! The spiritual focus at SCA is more than just daily Bible classes. It goes beyond to focus on each student - from K3 through seniors through scripture memory, weekly chapel services, Spiritual Spotlights for elementary classes (new this year!), two Spiritual Emphasis weeks for secondary students, mission trips, and individual discipleship.

We also introduced a new Campus Pastor, Doug Eason.

Going beyond and partnering with parents in their family discipleship, Kenny Roberts launched our new Parent Partnership Series for SCA parents this fall. Hearing from experts regarding AI and kids, screen time, intentionality and more. SCA Campus Pastor Doug Eason led the spring event.

This year's missions opportunities included a sports-ministry trip to the Dominican Republic and a scouting trip for future ministry in Zambia and Kenya.

TOP MOMENT | 2025-2026

One of the most meaningful highlights of our 40th anniversary year was the Tree Dedication Ceremony in October 2025.

To honor four decades of impact, four live oak trees were planted in Legacy Park, each one representing a chapter of God’s faithfulness to Sherwood Christian Academy. During the ceremony, Sherwood Church Senior Pastor Paul Gotthardt led a prayer of gratitude for the past 40 years and the future ahead.

Pastor and SCA Chairman Jim McBride, Headmaster Kenny Roberts, Elementary Principal Sylvia Hager, and Pastor Gotthardt each took part in a ceremonial first turn of the dirt.

Today, the trees are already growing stronger and taller, a living reminder of the legacy being built at SCA.

Earlier in the semester, some students from the junior class (now the Class of 2027!) spent a day visiting the campuses of Valdosta State University and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College as a part of their SCA College Success class.

🌎🪐 The 8th Grade Earth Science class wrapped up the school year by exploring the Solar System!
