On Wednesday, we celebrated our talented fifth-grade students at Sheridan Preparatory Academy in a heartfelt moving-up ceremony!

This year’s joyous occasion featured a wonderful song performed by our fifth-grade students, a special keynote address from Deputy Mayor Christopher Ellis and the presentation of a memorial award in honor of teacher Elizabeth Palmer.

Our students were presented with a variety of awards celebrating their excellence in academics, citizenship and leadership.

We are proud of the thirty-nine rising sixth-graders who have reached this incredible milestone, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the administrators, teachers, staff and loved ones who have supported our "super star" students along the way!

As the school year comes to a close, our fifth graders celebrated with an amazing cookout! They enjoyed beautiful weather, delicious cotton candy, a live DJ, and quality time with family.

To officially wrap up an amazing College and Career Week, a group of our brilliant fifth graders had the unique opportunity to shadow staff members across the entire building!

Our young leaders got a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of our teachers, principal, assistant principal, and home-school & community school coordinator. We are so proud of their curiosity and enthusiasm, and we want to give a huge shout-out to all the staff who welcomed them with open arms!

As part of College and Career Week, students welcomed Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York to learn essential financial literacy skills.

Students at Sheridan Prep have been participating in College and Career Week! Over the past two days, we’ve hosted special guest speakers who shared insights into their unique career paths and how they achieved success. Our students heard from a diverse group of professionals, including nurses, firefighters, an Army recruiter, state troopers, and a graphic designer, among others.
