Congratulations to Albany High outdoor track and field athletes—Nasief Smith, Nyerere Young, Terrique Francis, Javanni Garland-Santana and Noah Bizer—for incredible performances at the Section 2 state qualifier meet that earned them the opportunity to compete in the upcoming state championship!

Bizer crossed the finish line second in the 800m run with a phenomenal time of 1:52.4. He smashed the Albany High record for this event, which was set back in 1995 by Marcel Burke!

Terrique Francis set a new personal record in the 100m dash, finishing first in the event with a blazing fast time of 10.8 seconds!

Our boys' 4x100m relay team— Nasief Smith, Nyerere Young, Terrique Francis and Javanni Garland-Santana—soared into first place with an incredible time of 42.9 seconds!

Come cheer on our Falcons at the Flag Football Senior Game tonight, Wednesday, June 3, at Colonie High School at 6 p.m.

Nalina Charles, Damarie Cooley, Lashon Fraser, Jaylene Rodriguez, Mar'Raya Shaw, Jaya Stewart and E'mari Wilkins will be competing this evening.

During halftime, Section 2 All Stars will be announced.

The game is free and open to the public - hope to see you there!

We are thrilled to announce that 27 seniors have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level!

On Tuesday, June 2, Albany Athletics hosted a joyous gathering to mark this amazing moment and wish our graduating seniors the absolute best in the next season as competitive athletes.

Of the 27 students, four committed to play two sports at the collegiate level. Additionally, we are excited to have three students in the group who are our first Falcons to commit to playing flag football at the collegiate level!

Congratulations, Falcons! We are so proud of all your athletic performances during your high school years, and we look forward to seeing you soar at the collegiate level.

Our Falcons on the boys' and girls' outdoor track and field teams will compete at the state qualifier meet this coming week!

The competition will take place at Shenendehowa High School on Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4. Events begin at 4 p.m. each day.

Our Albany High boys' and girls' outdoor track and field teams soared to amazing heights as they faced off against the best of the best in Section 2 on Wednesday at Colonie High School.

Our boys' 4x100m relay team—Javanni Garland-Santana, Nyerere Young, Nasief Smith and Terrique Francis—blazed into first place with a time of 42.1 seconds! With this incredible finish, they now rank in the top five 4x100m relay teams in New York State.

Francis also claimed first place in the 100m dash with a lightening-fast time of 10.83 seconds, putting him in the top 20 in the state!

In addition to these thrilling first place finishes, many of our Falcons placed in the top six at sectionals, earning a medal for their excellent performances—congratulations to medalists Yehudah Levi, Saleem Ismail, Trinity Jackson, Isabelle Blain, Kalia Poole, Yasmile Vasquez, Nyloni Smith, Janie Hallgren, Juliana Mullin, Tess Moore and Isabella Anastasio!
