Part Time Preschool Substitute
Make a difference in a child's life working on a dynamic, multidisciplinary team as a Substitute
Teacher Assistant for the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) at the Schenectady Site. ECEC is a
not-for-profit NYS Department of Education and OCFS approved school for children ages 3-5 with
special needs.
Full-time teacher assistant “in person” for a flexible school hours position
Monday-Friday
Pay: $15.50 hour
Responsibilities:
● Be familiar and support children individually or in groups within the program designed by the
teacher (i.e. teaching, strategies, interventions, etc.)
● Actively participate in ensuring children’s safety throughout the day (i.e. classroom, bathroom,
playground, gym, snacks/meals, motor time, all transitions).
● Participate in daily classroom preparation, set-up, design and cleaning (i.e. snack, lunch, CR
activities, AAC, etc.)
● Actively participate in team meetings, site meetings, agency meetings and planning meetings.
● Participate in meeting children’s daily needs (toileting, diapering, hygiene, eating, and buses, etc.)
Qualifications:
● Level 1 teacher assistant certificate or Associates in Early Childhood preferred
● Basic Sign Language preferred
● 18 years or older
● High school diploma required

for the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) in Albany, NY at our Christ the King satellite site
which is an integrated class. ECEC is a not-for-profit NYS Department of Education and OCFS approved
school for children ages 3-5 with special needs.
Full-time teacher assistant “in person” for a 30 hour position school hours Monday-Friday
Competitive Salary based on experience starting at $17.00 hour
Responsibilities:
● Be familiar and support children individually or in groups within the program designed by the
teacher (i.e. teaching, strategies, interventions, etc.)
● Actively participate in ensuring children’s safety throughout the day (i.e. classroom, bathroom,
playground, gym, snacks/meals, motor time, all transitions).
