Our Divison of Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine puts on an annual Tox Teaching Day that is always a huge hit amongst our fellows, residents, and faculty! This year, our fellows Jessica, Olivia, and Diana along with Alumni Julia Garich, PGY2 Dr. Lundberg and PGY3 Dr. Piche came in 1st place for the AMC scavenger hunt!

Bootcamp Part 2! Skills day! We spent the day in the sim lab learning and practicing multiple Core Emergency Medicine procedures including: ultrasound guided IVs, central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, airway management and suturing!

4th Annual PA Fellowship Bootcamp Week! Days 1&2 were a combination of lectures and hands on skill practice including Point of Care Cardiac Ultrasound and eFAST scans courtesy of our standardized patients! The afternoon was spent practicing splinting as well as taking the Preservice Training Exam for postgraduate education programs!

Every year, in addition to our attending teaching award, our graduating class selects one of our faculty APPs to present with the APP of the year award. This is awarded to a member of the core APP Faculty who the class feels embodies the empathy, warmth, joy, and absolutely stellar intelligence required to be an exemplary provider. This year’s award was presented to our outstanding Pediatric Nurse Practioner, Elyse Malabanan! We can’t think of anyone more deserving!
