You can find science faculty John McNally P'36, '40 in his classroom, though you may also need to check the robotics room, the Silipigno volleyball court, or just shout to him as he crosses campus on his electric scooter. Let’s go, Academy! One week until Homecoming weekend!

Just over one week until Homecoming weekend is here!
🎾 ⚽️ 🏐 🏈

Updates include:
- Come cheer on girls tennis as they begin the weekend! Friday at 4 p.m.
- AAPA BBQ starts at 5 p.m.
- The Sip Society will be in the Pool Lobby Saturday at 10 a.m. ☕️
- The first 25 students that arrive to Caird Field to cheer on our football team get trucker hats and t-shirts!

The Class of 2027 may have just started the academic year, but they’re already making their mark. This group of students approached administration and asked for something more. They asked for a chance to kick off senior year at Academy with purpose and intent. For two days, they climbed rock walls, navigated ropes courses, and gathered around campfires at Camp Chingachgook, building bonds and forging friendships that will carry them through the year ahead as a stronger, more united class.

You’ve only just begun, and we can’t wait to see what you do, Albany Academy Class of 2027!

The first day of school is here! After a summer away, campus is officially buzzing again with familiar faces, new beginnings, and plenty of excitement for the year ahead. From the classroom to the fields and everywhere in between, we’re ready for all that this school year will bring.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation changed forever. On this solemn anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Albany Academy community pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the courage of first responders, and reflect on the resilience that has carried us forward since.

Today, our flag flies at half-staff and we hold a moment of silence in remembrance. We are especially grateful for the alumnae and alumni, faculty, and family members who have served our country and communities in the years since.

We will never forget.

As we wrap up our 10 Days, 10 Photos countdown, we couldn’t think of a better way to end it than with our Head of School, Michael Turner. We’re looking forward to welcoming our students, families, faculty, and staff back to campus and kicking off a new school year together.
