Today, our hearts are with the students, families, and staff of Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend. As a school community, we grieve alongside those who are hurting and invite you to join us in lifting them up in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
Our hearts are heavy as we come before You today. There are moments when words seem inadequate, and this is one of them.
Lord, we lift up the entire Silver Rail Elementary School community. We pray for the families whose hearts are hurting, for the children who may be frightened and struggling to understand, and for the teachers and staff who are carrying the weight of this tragedy.
Father, draw near to each one. Bring comfort where there is sorrow, peace where there is fear, and strength for the difficult days ahead. Surround this community with people who will love them, support them, and walk alongside them.
We also pray for schools everywhere. Watch over our children, our teachers, and our families. Give wisdom to those entrusted with their care and help our classrooms remain places where children feel safe, loved, and valued. When our hearts are troubled and our minds turn to fear, remind us that You are near. Help us to place our trust in You, even when we don't understand.
