Meet Saanvi Shah, a master’s student in Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity at UAlbany! πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

Saanvi takes us through a day in her life - from cooking her own meals at home to enjoying a little campus treat, all while keeping up with her workouts and her demanding coursework. πŸ³πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ“š

Her routine is a great reminder that graduate school isn’t just about academic excellence. It’s also about building habits that support your whole well-being. Balance looks different for everyone, and Saanvi’s day is a beautiful example of making it work on your own terms. πŸ’œπŸΎ

Meet Christopher Murunguzha from Zimbabwe! 🌟 Originally driven by a desire to be part of a world-class institution, Christopher chose UAlbany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy to pursue his Master of Public Administration.

During his time in our MPA program, he participated in the 2025 UpToUs Leadership Bootcamp in Washington, D.C., did a summer internship, and strengthened his skills in policy analysis, research and data analysis, and community and stakeholder engagement. He truly has built the skills and networks to make a real impact in public service.

His advice for fellow grad students? Graduate school isn't just about the coursework β€” it's about building relationships, staying involved, and always coming back to your 'why.' πŸ’‘

We love having you in the Great Dane family, Christopher! 🐾

Security fatigue - a state of emotional exhaustion and disengagement that can reduce compliance with security practices.

A study led by Sanjay Goel from the Massry School of Business reveals that repeated exposure to security demands can lead to β€œsecurity fatigue,” causing employees to become mentally exhausted and less engaged with safe practices.

These findings underscore the importance of designing security systems that account for human behavior alongside technological safeguards.
