As part of KTVP's Black Excellence Week, students showed up in powerful ways by dressing as some of their favorite Black heroes who have shaped history and inspired generations. From poets and leaders to pioneers in science and space, our KIPPsters proudly honored icons like Maya Angelou, Barack Obama, and astronaut Mae Jemison. 🚀📚

Whether they're helping a KIPPster navigate a challenge, partnering with families, or strengthening the systems that support our schools, their work reflects the very best of what community looks like. What a weekend for KIPP Capital Basketball! 🏀

We would like to congratulate our KIPP Tech Valley Middle Boys Basketball Team for winning the CYO League Championship in both the 5/6 and 7/8 division brackets in their inaugural year of participation. This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated by our middle school student-athletes and coaches throughout the season.

We also proudly recognize our KIPP Capital High Boys Varsity Basketball Team for capturing the 2026 NYSPHSAA Section 2 Class B Sectional Championship in their first year of eligibility. This historic achievement marks a major milestone for our high school athletics program.

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team will now advance to the NYSPHSAA Regional Championship, where they will face Section 7 Champion Saranac Lake. The game will take place Saturday at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC)with a 2:00 PM tip-off.
