The Foundation is dedicated to the discovery of the true nature of humanity. We offer weekly discussion groups and the opportunity to learn meditation. Discussion material centers on the great teachings of the East and West and draws in particular from the tradition of Advaita (the philosophy of unity). The focus is on how these teachings can be made real and practical in our daily lives.

As a new month begins, consider setting aside just a few quiet minutes each day. Meditation isn't about emptying your mind - it's about learning to observe your thoughts with greater awareness and calm.

Small moments of stillness can lead to meaningful change.

Practical Philosophy encourages us to become better listeners - not just to others, but also to ourselves. When we slow down enough to truly listen, relationships become stronger, conversations become richer, and life feels more connected.

This past week, some of our students attended a meditation retreat in Walkill, New York. They were able to connect with students from other schools around the world. It was a beautiful experience ❤️

A constant element of enjoyment must be mingled with our studies, so that we think of learning as a game rather than a form of drudgery, for no activity can be continued for long if it does not to some extent afford pleasure to the participant.

Where your attention goes, your energy follows.

Meditation teaches us to gently bring our attention back to the present moment, helping us respond with greater patience, clarity, and compassion.

The practice begins with one breath. Learn more about how the Georgia Philosophy Foundation can help with bringing your attention back to the present. Visit us online at ga-philosophy.org

As we celebrate Independence Day, it's worth reflecting on another kind of freedom—the freedom that comes from understanding ourselves.

When we become less reactive to circumstances and more aware of our thoughts, we discover a deeper sense of peace that isn't dependent on what's happening around us.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Meditation is not about effort. It’s about ease.

There’s no need to concentrate or control the mind. The mantra is simply a tool — gently guiding awareness inward. From there, the mind knows how to rest.
