Monroe is a comprehensive high school that offers both academic and vocational studies. Students may select from the college preparatory or the technical career programs of study. We are thrilled to welcome our Gold Tornadoes back for an extraordinary year! Students can start entering the building bright and early at 7:40 AM, ready to shine. A nutritious breakfast will be served from 7:40 to 8:15 AM to fuel their minds and spirits. Classes will commence at 8:20 AM, bringing new learning opportunities and experiences. Parents, we encourage your students to be inside the building by 8:45 AM to ensure a smooth start. Morning drop-off for car riders will take place at the front entrance near the auditorium. 🌪️🌪️

SUCCESS ON THE SOUTH: From Monroe to Cybersecurity to the U.S. Army, Corey Evans is making us proud! A May 2025 Monroe Comprehensive High School graduate, Corey participated in DCSS’s ConnectED2Careers program, receiving guidance and career planning, under Mrs. Sadler, to help prepare him for life after graduation.
Just six months after graduating high school, Corey earned his associate degree in Cybersecurity in December 2025. He has since completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training and is serving in the United States Army as a 13B Cannon Crewmember. Corey’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when students have a plan, the right support, and the determination to succeed.
