Strengthening small businesses and communities across New York!
In 2025, the New York SBDC supported more than 27,000 small businesses and entrepreneurs across its statewide network. More than 34,500 jobs were created or retained with support from the network, and over 1,200 new businesses were launched, a 30% increase from the previous year.
The statewide results include 11,151 businesses and entrepreneurs served by SUNY-hosted SBDCs, which helped generate $166.9 million in new capital. The newly released 2025 Impact Report shows how the network connects entrepreneurs with no-cost guidance, training, research, and resources in communities across New York.

Let's take a trip! ✈️
Students from Finger Lakes Community College participated in summer academic and experiential learnings in Sicily and South Africa through two credit-bearing study programs. During their travels, the students learned about different communities, cultures, and environments. This experience deepened their academic learning and prepared them to be engaged global citizens.

The Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) program supports student success and retention through academic and financial assistance, career development activities, and personalized advisement. SUNY Plattsburgh has seen tremendous success for its students in the ACE program.
ACE Program Demonstrates Track Record of Student Academic Successes A SUNY initiative launched in spring 2024 to increase graduation rates and reduce financial barriers for first-generation and Pell Grant-eligible students has met with continued success at Plattsburgh, according to the program’s director.
