Making an impact on our New Yorkers💙

Victoria Wood, a nursing student from Monroe Community College, got the chance to go back to school to be able to help people through the SUNY Reconnect program. With the expansion of the program- which covers tuition, books, supplies, and other fees- adult learners like Victoria can pursue their dreams.

Abroad opportunities for our students🔍

The State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton University) provides its undergraduate students the Provost’s International Internship Fellowship, which allows them to travel continents and engage in different research experiences. The fellowship covers transportation and room-and-board expenses, making it affordable for students to conduct research while traveling the world.

The Provost’s International Internship Fellowship is intended to foster global perspectives

Helping New Yorkers through research for the public good!

A fund of $400,000 will be distributed through the SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF) to support groundbreaking research aimed at improving and protecting the lives of New Yorkers. This will provide grants to faculty inventors and scientists at five SUNY campuses.

SUNY Upstate Medical University has opened a pediatric behavioral health after-hours center to help children and teens in crisis across Central New York. This will help overwhelmed emergency rooms and fill a gap in any after hour care.

The Empire State Service Corps has grown to 1,000 SUNY students at 57 campuses for the third year of the program, which will now include new service areas including disaster recovery teams that will mobilize to help New Yorkers through natural disasters, crisis events, and more.
