My name is Chad Larabee and I am a new professor in the theatre department at Albany. I have been working with Ekow King on developing an original theatre production and he recommended that I contact you directly. The department of theatre is creating a piece around the notion of hate speech and I wanted to invite UA Jamming to develop a piece for inclusion in the event.

We're assembling a diverse assortment of student organizations to really delve into our national epidemic of hate speech.The show will be a mash up of monologues, scenes, dance, music, beat poetry, rap, etc. If it's helpful I'd be happy to work with your organization to help develop ideas or you can develop it 100% on your own. We would like the thoughts and ideas to originate from the members of the group. I am excited about the idea of creating a performance that brings together the universities performance groups and sheds light on their unique talents. The Dean is particularly interested in the production, as well as other university leadership.

The performances are November 7-11 in the Lab Theatre and your performers would need to be available for a technical rehearsal on Nov 3rd and dress rehearsals on Nov 4-6.
