Dear Friend of Sundborn,

On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to give a gift to Sundborn Children’s House. Your generosity allows us to fulfill our mission:
To educate and empower children and their families to thrive.

Every year, we rely on tuition as our main source of income. It does not, however, cover all of our operating expenses. Fundraising has always provided revenue that we rely on for classroom enrichment, capital improvements, student assistance, and staff development.

We ask our Board of Directors, alumni, current families, grandparents, and friends to participate in our annual giving campaign. Employer matching gifts are also welcome.

This is an opportunity to work in a beautiful, established school, with supportive staff and experienced teachers, and in a 115-year-old, proven learning environment for Early Education that is in use around the world. Applications are now open for this primary (3 to 6-year-olds) Montessori Teacher's Assistant position.

The successful applicant will speak English and assist in the environment for 3-6-year-old children, in this weekday, hourly position. Spanish is desired but not required. Workdays are similar to those of an academic school year calendar plus two 17-day summer sessions; the position is part-time (approximately 4 to 7 hours per day) and weekdays only.

Applicants should be open-minded, hardy, organized, reliable, warm and great at multi-tasking. We are looking for a person who wants be an assistant with us for at least one year.

Applicant must be dependable.

COVID-19 considerations:
We have been very successful in following COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. Staff have been vaccinated.
Face covering is required for adults. We have had no COVID cases in staff, students, or their immediate families. Families and staff agree to restrict their social bubble until science dictates it is no longer necessary.

Desirable for consideration:
--current CPR/First Aid
--registry with Oregon's Central Background Registry
--completion of the short online trainings, RRCAN, ICCHS and PBTT

Hourly wage is DOE.
