30 minutes of creativity and joy 💕🙌🏼
while also building fine motor skills, finger strength & control, and hand eye coordination ⭐️

We ran out of paper plates 😭… so the divided plates made a comeback. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Back in 2007 when I first started daycare, these were my everyday go to. I used them because I wanted everything to look perfect, to impress parents, to make every plate “presentation ready.” But what came with that? A sink FULL of dishes… and we all know washing sticky kids’ dishes is a job and a half 🙃

Over the years, I’ve learned something important…
This job is not about impressing anyone.

It’s about connection. It’s about care. It’s about making sure these kids are happy, fed, and feel at home ❤️

Now, I choose what makes my day run smoother so I can give them more of me. Paper plates became my best friend💕🙌🏼 less time washing dishes, more time being present.

Because at the end of the day, I’ve learned…
They don’t remember what plate they ate on.
They remember how they felt. 💕🙏🏼

And today? Full bellies, happy faces, and not one mention nor complaint about the plates 😉

It’s been BUSY y’all 💕🙌🏼 I know I’ve been a little quiet on here, but behind the scenes it’s been nonstop and I’ve just been doing my best to keep everything flowing 💕🙏🏼✨

We wrapped up our St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ fun, cleared everything out, and now we’re jumping right into Easter mode 🐣🌸 Today we started decorating and created our sweet little Easter bunnies and the kids had so much fun!

🔺💛 Yesterday’s Shape & Color Activity! 💛🔺

They cut pieces of yellow construction paper and glued them inside the shape.

This activity helped us practice:
🔺 Shape recognition
💛 Color recognition
✂️ Cutting and gluing
📍 Understanding inside vs. outside

Spring is almost here and our classroom is getting ready! 🌸🦋 Today we continued practicing the letter “S” for Seasons and Spring and everyone created their very own butterflies.

They worked on:
✂️ Cutting
🎨 Color recognition
🦋 Creative expression

Learning through play makes every moment special. Watching their faces light up when their butterflies came together was priceless. 🥰

🔺💛 Today’s Shape & Color Activity! 💛🔺

Some of our friends worked on recognizing the triangle shape and the color yellow. First, they colored the triangle. Then we cut pieces of yellow construction paper and glued them inside the shape on a separate activity sheet.

This activity helped us practice:

✂️ Cutting and gluing
📍 Understanding inside vs. outside

🎵 As we colored, we also sang about the day of the week together!

We also explored our color of the day and shape of the day through other activities, like building with blocks and creating button patterns.
