Robert Cross families, we have gotten off to a great year of embracing reading! Now, it is time to turn it up a notch with our LEXILE LEADERS initiative.

Lexile Leaders will help students become stronger readers, expand their vocabulary, increase their confidence, and prepare for future success. Parents can help by encouraging students to read an Accelerated Reader book approximately every two weeks, complete the AR quiz, and track their progress toward their grade-level Lexile goal.

Students also have access to myON, a digital reading platform available through DCSS ClassLink. myON provides a variety of digital books and recommends titles based on each student’s reading level and interests, making it easier to read at school or at home.

We’re proud to share that our August attendance rate was 96.72%, exceeding last year’s final rate of 95.02%! Even more exciting, 8 homerooms achieved a perfect 100% attendance rate for August! 🏆🎉
