Health and Wellness Day was in full effect at New Scotland Elementary School! We kicked off the morning with a school-wide parade around the neighborhood, led by the Albany PD and their awesome horse patrol.

Once back at school, students participated in a full itinerary of athletic activities, including football, track, soccer, and volleyball. We were also thrilled to welcome a few of our own Albany High Falcons, who helped lead tennis sessions. The successful day concluded with an energetic, school-wide Zumba class.

Our students and families enjoyed walking and rolling to school today using bikes, scooters, and their own two feet! We took a moment to recognize our amazing crossing guards and our friends at the Albany PD for ensuring our students make it to school safely every single day. Thank you for all you do!

Students started off the day with their morning calendar before moving on to practice long vowel sounds through reading, writing and illustration!

Our inaugural "Bring Your Art Game" gallery show was a huge success! This event celebrated the diversity and spirit of inclusion that makes our school community so special.
With submissions from over 20 students and our dedicated staff, the talent on display was incredible. Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who joined us!
