What a great time we had at the Autism Fair yesterday at Montessori 🧩 🌈 We had tables for Best Buddies and Unified Sports, we met lots of great people and made some good community connections! We had some of our Buddies and Student Athletes with us to show everyone all the great things we are and do 💙💙💙

A huge thank you to Quick Response for their holiday cheer & generosity with our Best Buddies kids! This is the 3rd year in a row that we bring our Albany High Best Buddies to their drive thru holiday lights. This year they invited us inside for hot cocoa & donuts, & pictures with the man himself - Santa!!!🎅❤️ The kids absolutely loved it, we look forward to continuing our partnership with Quick Response and continuing our yearly tradition. The adults had just as much fun as the kids! Before me we left to drive up to Quick Response, we had some mac and cheese at school. Pajamas were optional, some kids and adults were dressed for the occasion 😊

Last week we had our Best Buddies Friendsgiving, and what a great time we had! Our Buddies had a full Thanksgiving meal with turkey, potatoes, stuffing, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce and of course pie! They also wrote and drew what they are thankful for 💙 One thing is for sure, we are so thankful for our Buddies and the joy they give us all year ☺️ we are also thankful for our SPED department who always supports us with anything we ask for, our TA’s who are always there to help us, and all of our other supporters, especially those who helped us out by purchasing something off of our Amazon wishlist for our upcoming Holiday Party! Thank you all ❤️

Best Buddies has officially begun for the 2024-2025 school year! We had our Fall/Halloween party yesterday 🍁🍎🎃 🍐👻 🍁We painted bubbles on a cauldron, played BINGO and had some snacks (donated by some AHS teachers) The Buddies were sent home with a trick-or-treat bag filled with snacks, candy, sensory toys and a toothbrush for good measure! 🍬 🍫 🪥 We all had a blast!!! Can’t wait til the next one.
