Students in Hannah Krengel's ENL Enrichment summer class took learning beyond the classroom with a language-focused scavenger hunt at Washington Park. As they explored the park, students made observations about their surroundings and practiced expanding their sentences by adding adjectives, quantities, and prepositional phrases. The authentic outdoor setting encouraged meaningful conversations, strengthened academic vocabulary, and gave students the opportunity to apply their English skills in a real-world context while collaborating with their peers.
