On Friday, May 15, Albany International Academy hosted its annual Multicultural Festival. Attendees enjoyed a wonderful day of diverse food, traditional dancing, and cultural exchange. This vibrant event truly embodies the spirit and diversity of our school community. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated!

Multicultural Festival will take place tonight (Friday, May 15) starting at 5:00 p.m. This special event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions and backgrounds that make us unique. We hope to see you here!

Attention middle school students! Are you interested in playing tennis? Check out our Friendship Tennis League hosted at Albany High.

Practices begin today, May 14, but there is still room for more students to join.

Seniors and families - if you have not done so, please reserve tickets for graduation as soon as possible!

MVP Arena will require tickets for all guests to enter the arena on the day of our ceremony this year. Each graduate may reserve up to 15 tickets.

Baseball:
-Varsity baseball game is canceled; no practice
-JV baseball will practice
-Modified baseball practice is canceled

Softball:
-Varsity softball practice is canceled
-JV softball practice is canceled
-Modified softball will practice (indoors)

Student-athletes are encouraged to reach out to coaches with any additional questions.

We are looking forward to our Albany High Spring Open House, which will take place on Thursday, May 28, from 5:30-7 p.m.

This is a great chance for incoming ninth-graders and prospective new students and families to visit Albany High and learn about the wide variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular activities we offer!

You can also meet other incoming students and your administrators, have your questions answered and take a tour of our beautiful new campus.

Students from the Albany International chess club recently competed in their second tournament, showcasing impressive skill across all grade levels. In the elementary division, Michael took home the Gold, with Ana earning Silver and Cristian securing Bronze. Our secondary division (Middle and High School) also saw great success, with Ndakize winning Gold, David taking Silver, and both Israr and Ahmed finishing strong with Bronze medals. Congratulations to all our competitors!

Save the date for our Middle School Athletics Celebration on Tuesday, June 16!

Student-athletes are invited to join us for pizza, drinks, games and activities from 4-6 p.m. at Albany High.

Festivities will move inside Albany High in the event of rain or inclement weather.

Students can take the CDTA Tripper or the Yellow Bus which will pick up at North Albany at 3 p.m., Albany International Academy at 3:15 p.m., Hackett at 3:30 p.m. and Myers at 3:45 p.m.

Parents/guardians, please pick up your student from the Albany High School Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
