GAPS families are invited to join us for a Community Wellness Event on Thursday, January 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Liberty Elementary School.

Families can access vaccines through the Linn County Public Health Mobile Vaccine Service and connect with a variety of local community resources. This event is especially helpful as a reminder that the GAPS vaccine exclusion date is February 25. Students must have either complete vaccine records or a completed nonmedical vaccine exemption on file.

Community partners on site will include Linn County Public Health, dental services, OHP navigation, SNAP benefits support, the Welcome Center, Jackson Street, Casa Latinos Unidos, Lumina, Fish, and Food Hero.

Fall 2025 - Parenting Today Forward: Foundations Group.

This is a free 2-hour, 10-week (1 day per week) long Foundations group designed to provide parents and caregivers with a better understanding of behaviors and tools to help parents and kids work together to find solutions.

You can join at any time during the 10-weeks.

Yarn for youth! Knitting for niblings! Crochet for the kids! We're teaming up with the Albany Public Library on December 3rd from 5-7pm and December 14th from 2-4pm to host community knitting events in support of youth!

Help us make hats and scarfs for youth in the community, we'll have snacks, friendly faces, and some supplies on hand to craft with. We'd also love experienced folks in the community to supply their own yarn and tools so we have plenty to go around.

We'll see you next Tuesday!

We are meeting a week early this month due to the holiday!

Tweens in 5th-8th grade are invited every month to discuss books! Each month book club will chose what book they want to read together, but everyone is welcome to come even if they didn't get the chance to read that month's pick (just be ready for spoilers).

This month we will be reading The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Pick up a copy at the Children’s desk at the Main Library or check out a digital copy from CloudLibrary! Limited copies available.

School Closure Meal Sites:
The District will provide meals to all students during the strike. We have a limited distribution plan for Tuesday, November 12 (see below). The number of distribution sites will increase on Wednesday, November 13 and for subsequent days should the strike continue. Our expanded plan (+/- 15 sites) will be sent to you when approved by the Oregon Department of Education. All meals will be distributed with the support of the GAPS Transportation Department.

Who can get a meal?
● Parents/guardians, child care providers and children may pick up 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per child
each day.
● Children do not have to be present, however, you may be asked to list the children you pick up meals
for.
● Any child ages 1- 18 (or older if still receiving services from GAPS schools) may receive a meal. They
do not have to be enrolled in a GAPS school or program.
Breakfast and lunch will be given out at the same time.
● Meals will be distributed from GAPS school buses.
● All meals will be a grab-and-go.

● Some lunches will contain foods that require heating before eating.
