Students at William S. Hackett Middle School were welcomed to school with applause, high fives, fist bumps and even a tambourine by our amazing Hackett staff and teachers on Friday morning!

Beginning a new school year can be overwhelming, and we are so thankful for the adults who are committed to creating a positive and affirming learning environment for our Hackett students each day.

Falcon fans - check out this update about a re-scheduled game for girls' modified soccer!

Attention Falcon fans!

Due to an unexpected conflict, the girls' modified soccer home game scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 has been rescheduled to Monday, Sept. 28.

No transition to middle school would be complete without conquering a combination lock!

Tuesday’s Bell Ringer - a short, independent activity that students complete as soon as they enter the classroom - in Antonio Incardona’s classroom helped students practice the important skill in order to limit locker frustration and build confidence.

Opening a combination can be tricky but practice makes perfect.

Sports practice update!

Please be advised that practice for boys' modified soccer (grades 7-8) hosted at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School is canceled for today, Tuesday, Sept. 8.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused students and families.

Practice will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Myers.

Is it even a new year if Mr. Paolino isn’t flipping burgers?!

On Thursday, William S. Hackett Middle School administrators treated faculty and staff to a back-to-school BBQ. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salads and dessert were on the menu along with community building on the notoriously busy 'First Day Eve.'

The administrative team is also planning its annual welcome back BBQ for students on Friday, Sept. 11.

Attention families of students in grades 7-8! If your student plans to play a modified sport this fall and still needs a physical, please check this out!

Tryouts and practices for boys' soccer, girls' soccer, boys' cross country, girls' cross country and volleyball, will begin on Monday, Aug. 31 for students in grades 7-8.

If your student still needs a physical, the district physician will be available to facilitate sports physicals at William S. Hackett Middle School from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31.
