Field Day fun!

Friday was an AMAZING day!

During Leadership Day our students showed courage and confidence and showed off their genius and shine.

We're incredibly proud of the quality of the presentations - from musical and instrumental performances, cheer routines to drawing, karate and teaching a different language - wow.

Thank you to our staff for supporting one another, lifting each other up and working collaboratively.

Together we demonstrated what it means to be a "Leader in Me" School and how we lead, here in building but also outside of school hours, and successfully embrace the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People."

After seven months of research, practice and legal study, our defendant, prosecution and defense got their day in court!

Our Legal Lives partnership with the Albany County District Attorney’s office came to a close Monday with a trial - complete with judges, attorneys, witnesses, a jury and even a bailiff – which brought the justice system to life through a fully staged trial based on a purse theft.

The hands-on project encouraged critical thinking, public speaking and active citizenship skills.

Career Day at Pine Hills Elementary School was a success thanks to our Albany High role models!

Student representatives from Robotics, Automotive Tech, Construction Tech, Cosmetology, Barbering, Culinary Arts and Health Sciences programs provided insight, and hands-on experience, as to what CTE classes – and a career – may entail.

You’re never too young to start planning for your future!

Science is everywhere and that was incredibly apparent at Thursday’s STEAM Night here at PHES!

The hands-on activities spanned so many topics and taught students that science isn’t just in textbooks, it’s the magic behind everyday life!

Thanks to everyone - staff, community partners, PTA and families - who made our event such a success!
