We look forward to sharing all of the wonderful projects from this special place. DONORS:
Rod and Ginger Sager of Dallas, TX are honored to present a gift to Albany R-III School District for the creation of a Makerspace Innovation classroom. This gift is presented on behalf of the entire Sager family and is dedicated to the loving memory of Rod's late parents, Barbara and Norlin Sager, and younge

st brother, Dennis Russell Sager. The incredible legacy of Barbara and Norlin Sager currently spans the entire United States through their thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and counting. It all started in the farming community of Gentry County and the Albany R-III School District, where education was of the utmost importance. All four of Barbara and Norlin’s children, Leslie Kerns (1965,) Rod Sager (1967), Dr. Doyle Sager (1969), and Dennis Sager were proud Albany R-III Warriors. A bright and much-loved son, brother, and student, Dennis tragically died in a car accident while still in high school in 1970. Though neither Norlin nor Barbara grew up with the financial means for higher education, they cherished the intrinsic value of receiving a public school and college education. Barbara obtained her teaching certification from Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, MO and her associate's degree from Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, MO. Navy in the Pacific theater during WWII. All of their surviving children continued their studies at the college level and beyond. Rod Sager relocated to Texas after graduating from the University of Missouri to begin his own legacy in life. A managing partner of IPS Advisors, a Dallas based National Life Insurance, Estate Planning and Benefit Consulting practice with over 50 employees. In partnership with his wife Ginger, he has raised six children and one grandchild, who are all following their distinct journeys in five different states. They continue to ingrain in their children the same core values that Barbara and Norlin instilled in him: to love and support your family, to set and achieve your goals, and to always keep learning. The Sager family can think of no better way to give back to the school that helped set them on their paths in life, as well as honor the wonderful legacy of their parents and brother, than to help develop a state of the art learning space that will engage the students of Albany High School in hands-on learning, creativity and knowledge sharing. They know that Barbara, a poet and gardener, Norlin, a farmer and woodworker, and Dennis, an artist and engineer, would find a home away from home within the walls of this Makerspace Innovation classroom. The Sagerspace also received $28,000 in grant money from the Williford Foundation.
