With the first day of school arriving tomorrow (August 10th), we would like to address parent drop-offs and pick-ups!
Official school times are:
Elementary: 7:40 (tardy bell) - 4:08 (dismissal)
Secondary: 7:40 (tardy bell) - 4:13 (dismissal bell)
When dropping off your children in the mornings, please turn into the main entrance of campus and drop your students at the cafeteria (same as last year).
On the first day of school, it is okay for parents to park and walk your students in if you prefer. Also, on Aug. 10-11, PK students may be dropped off at the front of the elementary school. However, beginning August 12, all students must be dropped off through the drop-off line at the cafeteria.
All doors will be open for drop-off by 7:15 am, and all gates will close at 7:45! If you arrive after gates close, please be sure to come through the front gate, ring the secretary for your campus, and follow their instruction.
NEWS for the 2026-2027 school year!!! For those parents/guardians picking up elementary students in the afternoons, please remember that you MUST have your car tag! After the first day of school, if you do not have your tag on your rearview mirror, you must park and enter the Elementary office to show your ID. Also, parents and guardians will NOT be able to walk up to the front door to ask for your student. You must be in the car line.
The back gate will open at 4:00, and school will be dismissed at 4:08. We ask that you exit Highway 69 onto CR 2376 (by Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church). A photo is attached for your convenience! Please do NOT block the driveways along the county roads. Elementary pickup traffic will turn left onto CR 2377, turn into the back gate of campus (between the football and baseball fields), and exit the campus through the west gate after pickups.
Parents of secondary students, please exit Highway 69 onto CR 2377. Drive PAST the west gate (the first gate) and into the back gate on that west side of campus (into the back side of the staff parking lot). A photo is attached for your convenience! After your student comes to you, you can then exit through the west gate.
If you are a parent of both elementary and secondary students, please get your elementary student first, exit the west gate, turn right and enter back into that back gate into the staff parking lot to wait for your secondary student. We must keep traffic flowing through the west gate without cars stopping in that area. A reminder that CR 2377 is now CLOSED from our back west gate around the corner to the back entrance between the football and baseball fields.
We can all expect that this first week will be the roughest, and after that it always smooths out quickly. Thank you so much for your cooperation and patience as we take care of your students and your family in the safest way possible! After all, your family is our family too!
