Colorado Driver's have two choices when they see an emergency, maintenance, or passenger vehicle. Move over at least one lane from that vehicle, if safe to do, or if they are not able to safely move over, then they must slow down by 25 MPH or less in a 40 MPH zone, or 20 MPH in a 45 MPH or higher zone. Since 1994, Anshor Driving School has been providing professional driver education services in Colorado. They serve the communities of Salida, Alamosa, Greeley, and Rocky Ford. Anshor Driving School is a locally owned an operated company which provides driving lessons at reasonable rates and has the option of online courses.

Students can start taking drivers education at 14 years and 6 months old. This is the minimum Colorado State Law. However, Anshor Driving School recommends that it is best if the student is closet to 15 years old. Anshor Driving School uses state-approved late model cars which feature dual brakes to ensure safety. Private students as well as seniors are welcome to take lessons. Many insurance companies will offer a Driver Education Discount for those who take classes from Anshor Driving School.

Our Buckle Up Drive Smart (BUDS) group from Frontier Academy did their spring seat belt check. Buckled occupants were 92% compared to 85% in the fall count. That's the way we like to see the numbers go! Great job getting the word out team!

Drivers education is SO important. But it's not just about knowing your traffic laws and following them. It's also about understanding the dangers of driving impaired and the risk you are creating for your passenger(s) and other motorists on the road if you choose to drive this way.
