A true supporter of the arts. We’ll miss you, Mr. Vela.

We’re deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Jesse Vela. He was more than a school board member, he was a friend. He and his wife were present at every show, taking the time to talk to our actors after their performances. He even provided scholarships to some of our students. He visited the classroom and was so present at school and community events. Jesse Vela was someone who lead with his whole heart and he will be greatly missed. Wolverine Theatre would like to send love and prayers of comfort to his wife and family. 💚

Do you or someone you know have a student ages 4-11 interested in musical theater? Have them register to join the ‘Little Thespians’ for our FIRST EVER ‘Night of Broadway’!!! Scan the QR code in the flyer to register your child BEFORE May 30th. The 50$ entrance fee must be paid upon arrival (this fee includes a camp shirt). Clinic days are June 3-4 and our performance will be on June 5th. More details to come! If you have any further questions email us at [email protected]. We are so excited to see all the talented youth of the valley!!!

We’ve been so honored to see Tay’s incredible growth as a performer these past few years. To say we’re proud is an understatement! Break a leg, Tay! We can’t wait to see you perform in PSJA Tri-City Theatre’s production of Chicago!

🎭 Introducing Tay Palacios as "Mama Morton"

Tay is a senior at PSJA Memorial ECHS, and is the president of the Wolverine Theatre Club, which they have been a part of since their 8th grade year. Theatre has played a vital role in shaping them into the passionate person they are today. In the future, they plan on becoming a director to instill this passion in others. You may recognize them from PSJA Memorial's production, "In The Heights", where they starred as Abuela Claudia. For their performance, they received a Palm Awards Nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical.

"Through tri-city theater, I have been able to truly grow as a performer. Working alongside the talented cast/crew of Chicago, all with different personalities and perspectives, has been a unique and exciting new experience for me. I am honored to make history with this PSJA theater family this September!”
