🎉🐺 WELCOME BACK, McKEEVER WOLFPACK! 🐺🎉

The wait is almost over! 💚 We are SO excited to welcome our McKeever students and families back for a brand-new school year! 📚✨

📅 First Day of School: Monday, August 24, 2026

Here are a few important reminders to help us start the year smoothly:

🕖 Gates open at 7:15 a.m.
🚗 1st–5th Grade Drop-Off: Use the morning drop-off route and cafeteria entrance through Gate #1.
🏫 PK, Kinder, and Life Skills: Drop-off will be in the front of the school.
🚶 Walking students in: Only PK, Kinder, & Life Skills students may be walked to class from 7:30–8:15 a.m. (maximum 2 adults per student/family).
🚘 Parking will be limited, and all parents/guardians must exit the building by 8:15 a.m.
⏰ Classes begin promptly at 8:15 a.m.!
📍 Afternoon dismissal: Please review the dismissal map to know which location and gate apply to your family.

Our McKeever teachers were treated to an **extra special lunch today!** 🐺💚🍽️ From delicious food and refreshing drinks to exciting gifts and generous donations, it was a wonderful way to show our appreciation for the amazing educators who give so much to our students every day! 🎁✨

A huge **THANK YOU** to Starbucks and H-E-B for helping make today so special with their generous food and drink contributions! ☕🥤💚 Your kindness and support helped us create a memorable celebration for our McKeever family!

What an absolute electric day at the PSJA ISD Convocation! ⚡️ The McKeever Elementary crew turned the volume all the way up to 11 and proved that we don't just teach—we ROCK! 🤘🔥
From celebrating our incredible team spirit to bringing home some amazing prizes 🏆, we had a total blast jamming out and getting pumped for the new school year.

From creating tasty giraffes with cheese and pretzel sticks 🦒🥨 to exploring fractions, designing necklaces, and so many other hands-on adventures, our Wolves have had an unforgettable summer filled with **learning, creativity, laughter, and fun!** 💚🐺

We hope our students had a **wildly wonderful time** making new friends, creating special memories, and exploring new things along the way! 🌎✨

John McKeever Elementary officially earned a B+ rating with an overall score of 86, along with FOUR STAAR Distinctions! This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our incredible students, committed staff, and supportive families.

PSJA ISD has earned an A rating in the 2026 Texas Accountability Ratings, with all 44 schools earning an A or B and 27 schools, more than 61% of our campuses, earning an A.
Behind every rating are students who worked hard, educators who believed in them, staff who supported them, families who trusted us, and an entire PSJA Family committed to creating opportunities for every child.
