Missing Person Investigation Update

On October 17, Alameda Police Officers continued their investigation into the disappearance of Desiree “Lisa” Huey. Around 12:55 pm, as investigators were searching for video footage, the Alameda Police Communications Center received the report of a possible person in the water near the base of the Bay Farm Island Bridge. Officers responded and confirmed the person was deceased.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau responded to the scene and began an investigation. The coroner identified the individual as Alameda resident Desiree “Lisa” Huey and notified family members.

This is devastating news for her family, friends, and our community. We ask for everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.
