The first day of school is officially in the books, and The Block is buzzing again! It was great to see our students back on campus, reconnecting with friends, meeting new classmates, and getting the 2026–27 school year underway.

Welcome to SJND, Class of 2030! 🎉
It’s been a full two days of 9th Grade Orientation as our newest Pilots got to know their classmates, their new school, and what life at SJND is all about.
From Lift Off activities and community-building fun to learning more about the SJND experience, our newest Pilots started their journey with connection, curiosity, and plenty of Pilot pride.
A special shoutout to our ASB and CLT leaders who helped to welcome the Class of 2030, and make these two days possible.
We’re so glad you’re here, Class of 2030. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead! 💙

🏈 Girls Flag Football Tryouts
Aug. 17–19 (Lower Washington Park, Alameda, 4–6 PM)

Remembering Clint Reilly
The SJND community mourns the passing of Clint Reilly, founder of Bay Scholars and a longtime friend of Saint Joseph Notre Dame.
Since SJND became one of Bay Scholars' original partner schools in 2014, Clint's vision has opened the doors of a Catholic college preparatory education to generations of our students. But his impact reached far beyond scholarships. Clint believed in the potential of every student and made it a priority to know the young people whose lives he was helping to shape. His visits to campus each year gave him the opportunity to hear their stories, celebrate their successes, and encourage them to keep reaching for their goals. His belief in our students continues to inspire hope, opportunity, and possibility for future generations.
We are deeply grateful for Clint's generosity, his friendship, and his unwavering commitment to our students. Please join us in praying for Clint, Janet, the Reilly family, and the entire Bay Scholars community.

Nothing brings a community together quite like the Fourth of July. We were proud to march through Alameda and share the sounds of summer with neighbors, alumni, families, and friends. 🇺🇸🎶

SJND was proud to participate in the Alameda Fourth of July Parade alongside St. Joseph Basilica. Our High School Band brought great energy to the celebration from the float, our school bus was decked out in Pilot pride, and students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families came together to represent our community.
Thank you to everyone who marched, played, decorated, volunteered, and cheered us on. We loved celebrating Independence Day with our Alameda neighbors!
