🦅 Hi Franklin Families! 💚💛

Help us give our incoming kindergarten families a warm Franklin welcome! 🎉 We have TWO fun playground play dates coming up—a perfect opportunity for new families to meet future classmates, connect with current Franklin families, and learn about upcoming PTA events. 🛝☀️

If you know a family with an incoming kindergartener, please spread your wings and spread the word! 📣

📅 Saturday, July 25
🕙 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Franklin Park Playground

📅 Saturday, August 8
🕙 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Franklin Park Playground

🦅 These are casual family play dates—not drop-off events. Parents stay, kids play, and everyone gets a chance to start building their Franklin flock before the first day of school! 💚

🦅💚💛 Thank you, Franklin Falcons, for an incredible school year!

As we wrap up another amazing year, we'd like to congratulate our 5th graders and encourage them to FLY HIGH as they soar into their next adventure. We know you'll do great things, and you'll always be part of the Franklin family!

We also want to extend a heartfelt farewell to our beloved Principal, Lynnette 'Dignon' Chirrick and 3rd grade teacher Jodi Barzelatto. Thank you for the countless ways you've supported, inspired, and cared for our students and community. Your impact on Franklin will be felt for years to come, and you will be deeply missed.

To our returning Falcons and the new families joining our nest next year, we can't wait to welcome you back in the fall!

Wishing everyone a summer filled with fun, laughter, adventure, and well-deserved relaxation. ☀️🌴

Have a wonderful summer, Franklin Falcons — we'll see you in the fall! 🦅💚💛

From AEF:

In Bill Peet’s The Spooky Tail of Prewitt Peacock, the main character is faced with banishment because his tail has just two (very weird) eyespots. But this same strange tail saves his companions (with more conventional plumage) from a tiger. Every year, Franklin 3rd graders in Jodi Barzelatto’s class read this book and set out to duplicate Bill Peet's illustrations where feathers are always flying. With markers, crayons and colored pencils, students capture each peacock's elegant profile. Then they fill the background with tail feathers that explode with color and movement.

What a magical evening at the Enchanted Sea Soirée! ✨🌊 A huge thank you to our incredible committee and volunteers who created such a beautiful and memorable night for our community. From the creative décor to the joyful energy in the room, it was truly a special evening made possible by a lot of hard work and heart. We are so grateful for all of you!

If you weren’t able to snag your favorite item during the event — or if you’re ready to jump back in — the silent auction is still open until Friday, March 13 at noon!** 🎉

Some of the most popular items are already making waves — including Endless Summer VIP tickets, Principal for the Day, and the Pixar Studio Tour** 👀 — but there are still many amazing experiences, gifts, and opportunities that need bids too!

Take another look, place a bid, and help support our school community. Every bid makes a difference. 💙
