Celebrating Rosh Hashanah in our classrooms! 🍯🍎

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who joined us to share the traditions and meaning of this holiday with our students.

In Montessori, learning about different holidays and cultures helps children learn respect, empathy, and appreciation for the diverse world around them 🌎❤️

Montessori Job Highlight! 🔆

One of our students is working with the Metal Insets, tracing and coloring geometric shapes with careful concentration. This work strengthens the hand, refines pencil control, and builds the focus needed for writing. ✍🏻📖

[In the Montessori Method, a “job” is a purposeful activity that a child chooses and completes independently]

Happy Birthday Maria Montessori!! 🎉🎉

Today, all the classes gathered for a special presentation celebrating Maria Montessori’s birthday! ⭐️💫 We spent time learning about her life and work developing the Montessori Method.

Her vision continues to inspire how we see, support, and teach children everyday.💛

A glimpse into the Redwoods classroom…✏️

Today, they practiced the 3-finger grasp while drawing straight lines. This helps children develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and pencil control. These early skills are the foundation for independent writing! ☀️💛

For motor fitness this morning, the Maples class did an obstacle course! 🧗🏽‍♂️⚖️💪🏼 They walked on a balance beam, climbed, and played parachute games.

These activities help them practice balance, coordination, and gross motor skills, all while building their confidence and having fun! 🌟💫
