Alameda Reads

Alameda Reads has been helping adults learn to read and write since 1985. Tutors and learners meet twice a week for one hour for at least six months.

Learners who join our program receive free, confidential one-on-one tutoring with a volunteer tutor. Pairs meet Monday through Sunday at a mutually agreed time either at the Alameda Free Library or the Alameda Reads office.
