As our Fall season gets rolling, we unexpectedly still have space in 2 Cinderella classes, as well as a few of our Non-Production groups!
Our Paden and our Nea sections both still have some space. As does our Wednesday "best of broadway" group, and our Monologue Workshop!

Hi everyone!
We hope everyone had a good first week back at school. :)
Around this time there are often some parents and kids who start to think again about some fun activities to add to the slate... and, well, we're still here!

While most of our Tempest and Cinderella classes are waitlisted at this point (and you can always still get on a waitlist - they do sometimes move and not all of them are long), we still have room in most of our non-production (Skill) classes!

For Elementary students---
we have room in both of our BEST OF BROADWAY sections:
This has been a favorite of TYR students for some time. And is especially appealing to newer performers AND for performers who particularly love the song & dance elements of theater. As that's what it focuses on. This class also does have an optional showcase, so for those who were wanting to perform in front of friends and family, this one actually does scratch that itch!
There are groups that meet on Monday 5:30-7:30 and Wednesday 1-3, and I recommend checking it out.

FOR TEEN STUDENTS---
We actually have room in several classes, including Improv (both regular and advanced), Monologue Workshop, Cosplay, and Teen Dance.
These are all more in depth study and are beloved by actors who want to actually study material more deeply. Play rehearsals touch on this stuff, but there is never time to really get into it, and these are the opportunities.

FOR ANY STUDENTS---
You can still signup for TYR D&D. I've started that group sorting, but there will still be opportunity to add folks to groups here and there. So if that's appealing, go for it!

It is Wednesday, and our Fall Lottery period has closed.
That does not mean that you cannot still register for a class! And if you missed the lottery period by accident, I still encourage you to sign-up (https://tomorrowyouthrep.org/upcoming.html)
While it's true that most classes have filled to capacity from the lottery in the past, we've had the occasional semester with exceptions (and some of our non-production classes often don't fill until well after the lottery period). So it is well worth trying your hand as space becomes available on a first-come-first-served basis in coming days. (However, please don't expect to hear back from us quickly, as we need to run the lottery first before we know what space is available).

Over the next few days we are going to work through the lottery process and will inform everyone who submitted if we were able to get a class for you. Since this is our first season with new staff on registration, we are going to move deliberately slow (I know that is frustrating, but I'd rather be careful than error-laden, so I'll beg your patience). Please expect to hear from us by Sunday - if we finish before that we'll of course share with you, but again, we're trying to play this first Pam-less season very cautiously.

To everyone who submitted for our classes, we will do our very best to get a spot for you. I know as I write this that we won't be successful for everyone. Much as it pains me, the law of big numbers simply dictates that truth, and ultimately we are humans with limited ability to serve everyone to the degree we truly wish.
Whether we are able to get a spot for you this semester or no, I truly appreciate you for being part of the TYR community. And if we aren't able to get you in this time, I really mean it when I say I hope we get to for another.

A reminder that our Lottery Period for Fall Registration ends at 9am tomorrow morning!

Hi everyone,
It's almost August, which means two things for us:
1) It is almost time for our Fall Registration!
We've spent the last two weeks shoring up our locations, confirming our teachers, and even adding a few new classes (Teen Dance and Monologue Workshop). You should check out https://tomorrowyouthrep.org/upcoming.html for the most up to date info, as well as registration links when next Monday comes up!

And

2) It is also time for us to bid farewell to our long-time Administrator, Pam Arneson. Pam has been running TYR registration for the vast majority of our existence as a theater company, and we are so grateful to her. She is still around, and will probably help us out as a volunteer from time to time (I'm holding her to that!), but the registration reins have now been handed over to our new team member: Taylor Mendez!
She can now be reached at [email protected] (or at [email protected]) as questions come up during the signup process.
Please give her a warm welcome as you interact with her and she takes on the beast that is the TYR registration season.

Our registration will begin on Monday August 3rd, at 9am. And as we typically do, we'll start with a 48 hr lottery period (which will end on Wednesday August 5th at 9am).
So for best odds of getting into a class, I strongly recommend signing up during that time.

Hi everyone! We have two exciting announcements!

Little Red Met A Wolf (our Spring All-XP Production)
Opens THIS WEEKEND!

Written by TYR's Tyler Null, and featuring a slew of popular songs recognizable to the young and less-young, this original take on the classic tale explores prejudices that we find in the world around and also inside of us, and how we face our mistakes.

Our All-XP Spring Production features 10 different casts of varying ages, performing our original show from: April 24th - May 17th, at:
Trinity Lutheran Church (1323 Central Ave) in Alameda, CA

Casts are made up of a variety of a students from All Experience Levels, who have been rehearsing weekly for 11 weeks to bring this great show to the community. :)
