🧬🔬⚗️🔭🥼🧪🧑🏻‍🔬👩🏽‍🔬👨🏿‍🔬 Pre-K SCIENCE FAIR 3/24 @ 4pm 🧫🧬🔬⚗️🔭🥼🧪🧑🏼‍🔬👩🏻‍🔬👨🏽‍🔬

Children are natural born scientists in their own unique ways. From birth, they are curious beings that are constantly observing, exploring, and questioning almost everything and anything taking place in their environments. The importance of incorporating science within early childhood is that children are capable of anything and have an insatiable need to understand everything. Science is EVERYWHERE and a natural way for children to engage and explore phenomena in their environment. Whether it is looking for bugs under rocks, mixing colors when they paint, or pouring water, observing leaves changing through the seasons, children are naturally curious about what is happening around them all the time.

Parents share the joy of discovery through creating a science project together to present at our Annual Pre-K Science Fair.

Choose one experiment to share with their classmates, teachers, & other families on the day of our Science Fair.

🟡Projects should be on a Tri-Fold Project Board or Poster Board with the following information: The Scientific Method: Purpose – State the problem. Research – Find out about the topic. Hypothesis – Predict the outcome to the problem. Experiment – Develop a procedure to test the hypothesis. Analysis – Record the result of the experiment. Conclusion – Compare the hypothesis to the experiment’s conclusion.
Remember, wording should be as simple as possible for the child and classmates to retain the information.
🟢Day of Presentation Methods:
They can take pictures/draw of their child conducting the activity at home together and place them on the project board with the information above.

Or you can conduct the project at the Science Fair on the day of and bring the project board with information above.

To honor our little scientists, providing a meaningful learning experience such as this Science Fair encourages them to develop critical thinking skills & stimulates the child’s interest in scientific subjects.
Together, we all play an important role in the success of children's learning journey, and this quality time spent together will not only honor their young inquisitive minds, but it will also guide them to be life-long lovers of science throughout the rest of their education.

Weather permitting, we will have this event outside.

🪴🪻🌷🌻🌹 In honor of the first day of Spring approaching we ask that you and your little one take a trip to a local nursery to pick out a plant, flower, or succulent to share on Flower Day celebrating the 1st day of Spring (Nowruz) on 3/20! Later on throughout the week we will be digging and planting what you bring around the school. Can't wait to see what you pick. 🪴🪻🌷🌻🌹
