This Thursday, Jostens will be in the building and will meet with the 10th graders and then the 12th graders. Look for more information from your student.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we are excited to kick things off with the Stay in the Game! Attendance Pledge.

By taking the pledge, students and adults commit to showing up every day ready to learn—or to supporting the young people in their lives to do the same. Good attendance is a key step toward success in school and beyond.

We have invited all students and staff to take the pledge electronically through Google Forms today. Families can also learn more about the pledge - and even take it themselves if interested. Information and The Pledge can be found at:
https://stayinthegame.org/pledge/

Let’s work together to build great attendance habits and help every student Stay in the Game!

Friday was Red Out at school! We had lots of students in red! We also enjoyed the band playing through the halls at lunch! This is a long standing Friday tradition!

Mr. Morgan’s Biology classes were using the scientific method while team building during class!

The cup-stacking pyramid is a collaborative team-building activity that also models the scientific method. Working in small groups, students use strings attached to a rubber band to lift and stack cups without touching them.
As they work, students observe and identify the problem, ask questions, and form a hypothesis about the best way to move the cups. They then experiment, observe the results, and collect data based on what works and what fails. Finally, they analyze their results, draw conclusions, and adjust their strategy.

Through repeated attempts, students naturally move through each stage of the scientific method while building communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

We had a great day today with our 7th graders! It started with following schedules and learning lockers. Our staff grilled hot dogs for lunch followed by some time outside! After lunch we had sessions to learn of opportunities available to our students, we did some team building, learned some tools to be successful and painted rocks to add to our snake outside! It was a great day to be a Spartan!

We look forward to welcoming all of our students tomorrow for day 1!
