With upcoming weather dropping below zero, the City of Akron will be extending hours in four community centers on Wednesday and Thursday until 10 p.m. to serve as warming centers for residents who are in need.

The City will continue to monitor for continuous frigid temperatures. Unless otherwise specified, the centers are open during normal business hours.

In case anyone needs a break from the heat!

Due to high temperatures, Mayor Horrigan has announced that the City of Akron will open four community centers as cooling centers for the next two days (Tuesday, Sept. 4 and Wednesday, Sept. 5). The community centers will be open for extended hours from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
