The Upward Bound Math & Science Program at The University of Akron is funded through a five-year grant provided by the U.S. The current five-year cycle began on October 1, 2012. The yearly award amount is $297,034 and total five-year award is $1,485,170. Program Objective:

Students will maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher
Students will achieve proficient level on state assessments
Students will continue in high school each year and graduate from high school
Students will complete a rigorous course of study in high school
Students will enroll in college the fall semester immediately following high school graduation
Students will graduate from college with an associates or bachelors degree
