Great Show!!! Last night NYC “Recovering” Comic Patrick Holbert performed “Punch Line Drunk” to a packed house of students and community members on the University of Akron Stage. While in Akron he even toured some recovery history at Dr. Bobs house. Epic stuff. Join us in planning more cool recovery stuff on campus.

Join us in celebration of National Recovery Month and to help lower the stigma related to Substance Abuse and Mental Illness. Our Collegiate Recovery Community (Roos in Recovery) presents nationally knows stand-up comic Patrick Holbert, Friday September 30, from 8-9:30pm in the Student Union Gardner Theatre.
Currently 14 years sober, Patrick hilariously uses his past struggles with alcohol as fodder for his brutally honest comedy. With jokes and autobiographical stories, his main goal is to destigmatize challenging topics such as mental health, addiction, and family dysfunction. When he’s not on stage, he also works as a substance abuse counselor and recovery coach. An active member in his sober community, Patrick is married and lives in Brooklyn.
This 60-minute show is followed by a 30-minute Q/A on substance abuse and recovery. Tickets for students, friends, and staff $10. For ticket purchase go to: https://commerce.cashnet.com/UAMKT03
