As a student in the Williams Honors College you will serve as a leader within the UA community, and your opportunities to develop and improve your leadership abilities begin with the 2022 Williams Leadership Summit. These half-day events are designed to engage incoming students in our leadership learning community. Together with your fellow students, you will participate in exercises designed to build your own leadership skills. We will introduce you to Keynote Speakers who are recent UA graduates but have already established exciting and rewarding career paths. Together we will set the foundation for your time at The University of Akron and beyond.

A perk of being a student in the Williams Honors College is schedule flexibility since Honors students are not required to take some of the required general education classes. 🎖🗓

“So far, I’ve taken a Spanish class and a mural painting class and really enjoyed both. I plan to take more art studio classes as electives in the future to learn about new mediums I’m interested in, such as printmaking.”

The WHC will be hosting a discussion on the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the Jacobson Common Room with Dr. Karl Kaltenthaler, Director of the University of Akron’s Center for Intelligence and Security Studies. Dr. Kaltenthaler will be providing insight and context regarding both the history of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the ongoing invasion. The event will be this Thursday, March 10th from 4-5 PM and will also be broadcasted on Microsoft Teams.
