What an incredible evening celebrating the power of literacy and the strength of the Valley community! Thank you to everyone who came out to support Literacy Under the Lights and make the event so special for our students and families.

From Akron Elementary to Tippecanoe Valley High School, this event showcased what can happen when an entire school corporation comes together around a shared commitment to literacy. Seeing students, families, teachers, staff, football players, cheerleaders, and community members united by the joy of reading was truly inspiring.

Thank you for helping us create an unforgettable night. Together, we are building a culture of literacy that extends far beyond the classroom and strengthens our entire Valley family.

The public is invited to attend a School Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Tippecanoe Valley High School Auditorium.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Please enter through Door 22.

Candidates for District 3 include:
Shelly Engle
Joe Secrist
Jamie Murphy

Also on the ballot is Tom Bauters, who is running unopposed for District 4.

Jeff Brown has filed as a write-in candidate to replace Todd Hoffman, who currently represents District 5.

During the forum, candidates will respond to questions developed by government students that focus on the roles and responsibilities of school board members. The event will be co-moderated by Mr. Jonathan Tinkey and Mr. Micah Lukens.

Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the candidates prior to the upcoming election. The forum is expected to last just over one hour.

We encourage all community members to join us for this valuable opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and become informed before Election Day.

This prestigious award highlights the collaboration, innovation, and community partnerships that continue to drive success throughout our county.
