Saddened by the news that the Hospitality Program is coming to an end at the University of Akron. The great memories, friendships, connections and networking are ours forever and we will treasure them. We are creating a Facebook Group page for Alumni and Alumnae so we can stay in touch and gathered once a year. This is the end of an era but the beginning of a new season. The Culinary Artist Club is a group of University of Akron students learning and competing in fruit, vegetable, and ice sculpting.
The Culinary Artists Club dedicated to teaching students the artistic side of food through Fruit, Vegetable, and Ice sculpting. They are open to any University of Akron students and there is no fee to join. Funding is raised though public demos and our Graduate Chef Showcase Dinner held each semester. Currently the club is led by Alumni George Niemoeller acting as coach, and Chef Ricard Alford C.E

The Culinary Artists club recently visited Michigan to compete in a national ice carving competition. We came home with 2 bronze medals, a 5th place team piece and a few honorable mentions
