Our OST friends have been busy this March! We’ve done arts and crafts, made leprechaun traps, created designs with Legos, and got to see Outback Ray show us all of his amazing animals!
The Cat in the Hat came to The Learning Zone for a visit today! So much fun!
Our Preschool friends were able to make a trip to the Women's Ministry's Home League group. This was so special to them!
Our wonderful TAPS consultant reading a book to our preschool class this week!
Our Preschool 2 teacher, Ms. Laura, has provided our preschoolers with the opportunity to really dive into Black History Month. They have been learning about why it’s so important and why we should be celebrating everyday. The last two weeks our preschoolers have been learning all about famous African American’s. Today, they took a trip down the hallway to view the mural their teacher has put on display for us. Our preschoolers were able to learn about Rosa Parks, Mae Carol Jemison, Martin Luther King Jr., Bryan Stevenson, Bessie Coleman, Alice Coachman, and so many more.
After they listened so intently to their teacher describe each persons accomplishments, they each got the chance to pick their favorite person and explain why. We love to see such engagement and participation with our preschoolers!
Black History is Everyone’s History.
Our OST students completed all sorts of MLK Jr. crafts and learned more on why we had this past Monday off. They were excited to learn on a deeper level on why MLK Jr. was so important.

This week at Staycation our after school friends are having a lot of fun with Christmas crafts!
The School-age Summer Program finished week 2 with another visit from Challenge Island! They were learning about gravity and momentum and each team had to create a roller coaster that contained a loop and launched a marble into the air to hit a cup. Great job!!
There are still spots available if you have a kiddo looking for some fun this summer. Call 330-762-8481

The 100th day of school!!
Congrats to our distance learning students!! Over half of our students got all A’s and B’s and most of our students saw academic growth in more than one area. Our students received awards for their achievements!
Today a few of our students brought their dolls to class. These friends are enjoying a good book while their owners are in class.
Our students spent their recess and their lunch time watching history. We even joined in and said the Pledge of Allegiance.
Just a bit of imaginary play after a long day of distance learning. Here our two Dr.’s are giving out the 2020 vaccine- it cures everything!! The news crew (in yellow) was there to catch this historic moment! Miss Sarah was there to work the “front desk” and check in the patients.
We are learning in style—hand knit hats from Miss Sarah’s Mother-in-law—or as we call them—Grandma Hats!
When we aren’t in our distance learning classes, we are crafting some holiday cheer!
Reading goal = popcorn party at recess
