American Airlines kicks off D-Day 80th anniversary trip for World War II veterans to Normandy American Airlines sends off WWII veterans for their historic D-Day 80th anniversary commemorative trip to Normandy, France.

As a new addition to this year's Battle of the Bulge event at Camp Beaumont, Baker Co., with the help of several veteran reenactors and living historians, held a training event for Allied soldiers featuring radio use, map reading, tactics, and "Know Thy Enemy".

Members of Baker Co. met this morning at Fowler's Mill Cemetery in Munson Township, OH to take part in the Wreaths Across America event. Today across the country, nearly 3 million wreaths shall be laid at the headstones of American veterans from every conflict from the Revolution to the War in Iraq.
The Fowler's Mill Cemetery is the resting place of veterans of each of these conflicts, as represented by the Baker Co members here today.

On Tuesday some members of Baker Co were welcomed by the Westlake Porter Library as part of its monthly historical presentations to discuss the planning, development, and ultimate undoing of Operation Market Garden.
The turnout was excellent and the questions were numerous. We are excited to return again some day, perhaps to discuss the eventual final defeat of N**i Germany and the closing days of the war in Europe.
