The best day of the school year kicked off today with the traditional flag raising ceremony.

Thank you to Legion Hoschtetler Post 186 members for helping us on this special day each year. This year we were honored to have the following Legion members in attendance: Arlo Rohlfs, Keith Swanson, Bob Brown, Tom Schneider, Russell Jacobson, Stan Rolfes, Garry Jacobson, and Kaylene Hawkins.

Thank you to Bekie Moffatt, Kaylene Hawkins, and Deb Bursell for providing the accompanying pictures of today's special event.

We had four high school seniors assisting with the raising of the flag of the State of Iowa and the flag of the United States of America. These four students attended Girls' or Boys' State this summer, gaining a deep understanding of government: Ainsley Naslund, Brianna Rolfes, Cameron Banks, and Carter Moffatt.
