The UA Field Station is located on the 411 acre Bath Nature Preserve, and is a partnership between UA and Bath Parks. It is located approximately 2 miles west of the 33,000 acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and between the large metropolitan areas of Cleveland and Akron/Canton. This free, family-friendly event will celebrate how we get inspiration and learn from nature. Community partners will be hosting activities, information, and more! Special guests include OSU Titanium Bug Zoo and Akron Zoo, too!

Biology can be such a hoot! And not just for our department...

Students from the Myers School of Art recently pulled some artistic inspiration from this Great Horned Owl - just one of the many specimens in the department of Biology - The University of Akron's antique taxidermy collection! These artworks and more nature-inspired pieces are on display now outside the biology department office.
